As SIP-031 developments progress, a packed calendar of workshops, meetups, hackathons, and builder challenges has been set up to bring new developers into the fold and give builders fresh opportunities to create. From local meetups to region-wide hackathons, here’s a look at what’s ahead:

Builder Challenges are a new initiative from the Stacks Foundation and DoraHacks. These monthly, recurring challenges give builders 30 days to ship projects that solve specific problems. These challenges are open to all skill levels, judged by ecosystem experts, and offer prizes and visibility for top projects.

August's challenge asks builders to envision and create a solution that lets businesses easily accept Bitcoin payments via sBTC on Stacks. The goal is a seamless, low-friction payment gateway - think “Stripe for sBTC.” This month's prize pool is 3,000 USD and the submission deadline is September 12, 2025 (judging runs from September 5-12).

In collaboration with Rise In, more than 40 developer events will take place across the Middle East and Asia this year, introducing thousands of new developers to Bitcoin building with Stacks.

• Workshops on Clarity, sBTC, and smart contracts
• Bootcamps to sharpen technical skills
• Hackathons to turn ideas into projects
• Meetups to build local networks

Top participants will gain entry into ongoing builder programs, furthering their place in the ecosystem.

The Stacks Latam team has been driving growth across Latin America, already hosting multiple workshops, bootcamps, meetups, and a hackathon in 2025. Looking ahead, builders can expect:

• Additional meetups & workshops across multiple countries
• A region-wide hackathon coming in October
• An exclusive Hacker House experience coming to Buenos Aires later this year (more info coming soon!)

The Stacks Onboarding Tour is hitting 20–30 cities worldwide to give builders a hands-on introduction to what’s possible with Stacks. These interactive meetups are designed to make the Bitcoin economy real from the very first session. What you can expect:
